Logo design for North Carolina-based custom boat manufacturer and repair company.

One of my earliest commercial assignments. Completed in 1999 at the Barber Agency in Greenville, NC. I took a field trip to their dockyards, and was immediately made aware of the importance of a brand's visual manifestation. One of the elements that separates Jarrett Bay's boats from their competitors is the distinctive "flare" of the hull, which allows their boats to hot-knife through rough seas. I knew I had to work this into their logomark; I was able to subtly suggest a "JB" as well.
